The WEA represents approximately 300 teachers working in the Wilmette Public School District 39. WPS39 is a K-8 district with more than 3,600 students.

Our role is to provide leadership and direction for the WEA, facilitate communication among the members, and manage the administrative aspects of the association. 

Members rely on us to promote the development of strategies, address issues of importance to them, and to plan actions that will help the organization achieve its vision.  They also expect us to manage the organization and to facilitate effective communication within the WEA, as well as with the District 39 administration, Board of Education, and community.
